SEO scams to avoid: Like domain name scammers (see below) there are hundreds, if not thousands of sleazy SEO companies that attempt to get you to part with your hard-earned money. Their MO is to scare you into thinking that your website has not been submitted to search engines or that your website is not optimized correctly.
If your website was created by us, rest assured, we follow the best SEO practices and submit your domain name to the top three search engines. If your site was not built by wcpDesign.com, there may improvements that can be made to your site to increase search engine results (see our services page). Why Flash is on its way out. Our approach to designing and building websites is summed up by our tagline..."Clean, refreshing and affordable." Incorporating Flash imagery in a website goes against this creed, thus we do not recommend or incorporate Flash features in any of our websites. Seems like our philosophy is gaining popularity as proven by the fact that the new Apple IPad does not support Flash. Avoid Domain Name Renewal Scams. Remember the scam which resulted in your phone number getting "slammed?" If you were a victim, your phone plan was switched to another company. Well, unfortunately, the domain name business is riddled with rogue companies using scare techniques that trick you into thinking that your domain name is about to expire. You may receive these notices via email or snail mail and they are convincingly real! So, to help you avoid falling for this scam, we have included one here as a pdf so that you can see an example of what to avoid.
